I’m having the hardest time selling our house. I know where I live is a popular spot for the wealthy to buy their homes. I’ve seen several famous actors and singers buying up either properties or houses. I have had this lake house which was passed down to me from our mother. This lake house has been in the family for 79 years and I don’t have anyone to provide this lake house to so I’m trying to sell it and live out our days on the beach with a nice beverage to go with it. So I talked to a realtor and I have pretty much done everything anyone has asked me to do to sell it besides 1 thing. I never updated the central air conditioning and heating units, and why would I? These are famous people moving into the area and they can afford to update the Heating as well as Air Conditioning systems. Still, our agent suggested that I do the updates and our lake house should sell within a month or multiple. So I bit the bullet and called the Heating as well as Air Conditioning corporation so they can send out a heating and cooling specialist to update our Heating as well as Air Conditioning systems. I’m not pleased that I have to do this but I guess if I want to live out our dream then I should just listen and make the updates. I am going to raise the selling price then! No way am I going to pay for these swings and keep the same listed price. I particularly hope after I do these updates that there is a bidding war and our lake house sells for way more than I originally asked for.
