I love the fact that March is coming up.
Around here, that means the air conditioning might start popping on and the basketball is getting intense.
I don’t know exactly just what it is about college hoops but I’m totally addicted. From the time I was a kid watching it with my dad from the central air conditioning of my house, I was hooked. When you grow up in the south, you end up having to declare loyalty to a college. I did that when I was young. I can remember being inside the radiant heating of my junior high school with an earpiece and a transistor radio. It’s hard to believe it’s actually been long enough that those radios hardly even exist anymore. So much has changed as the years fly by. For us, it’s pretty amazing that we had to just replace the residential HVAC equipment in our home. This was after almost 30 years of near perfect heating and cooling. That heat pump was just the best we could afford when we first bought this house. And with consistent, seasonal HVAC maintenance, that thing never had a problem until nearly the end. This year, I’m welcoming air conditioning season with new residential HVAC. This comes with all the HVAC maintenance we did without for the last 15 years or so. It’s going to be so nice to have the smart thermostat take care of the air conditioning. This way, I won’t even have to get up from the couch while I’m watching hoops in March. I can just kick back on my couch and let the new HVAC technology take complete charge of the air conditioning. I’m all for that so I don’t miss a basket.
