Waiting for that promotion

I’ve been waiting many months for my boss to finally supply me a solo project.

I’ve paid my dues and put in a lot of extra hours.

I saw 1 of my co-workers get promoted before me, and I tried not to take it personally. I thought the time would never come, until last Tuesday. My boss pulled me into the office on Tuesday afternoon and gave me the wonderful news… He finally had a solo project for me to head. I was excited when he explained the project, which was going to be supervising the building of a cannery. It was a strange task, because every one of us don’t have many calories in the area! As I continue to listen to my boss, I realized that he said the task was in the Last Frontier state! Stopped my boss from talking, and I asked him if he could repeat the location 1 more time. He told me not to worry about the cold hot and cold temperatures. He was going to set me up with a unquestionably nice lake house only 3/4 of a mile away from the task site. I would also have a supplier car, and I could choose any make and model in our supplier automobile selection. My largest fear is the cold hot and cold temperatures. I am going to be in the area when it’s 20 or 30 degrees outside all day. It’s a giant change from my normal weather. The boss promised the lake house would have a nice gas furnace that was working well. He even told me that the lake house would be furnished and hot and ready when I arrived. Even though the freezing cold hot and cold temperatures have me distraught and scared, knowing that the locale will have a new gas furnace makes me think better.
