A restaurant a/c

At one point on the weekend, whether it’s Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, me and my friend love going out to our favorite Italian restaurant.

We’ve been there so many times that I have tried everything on the menu at least twice, although my friend Lauren is not as adventurous as I am, and she typically gets the same thing every time: chicken alfredo and endless breadsticks.

We know all of the wait staff by name as well as the managers. That evening, we were being served by our favorite waitress Tatiana. Tatiana has beautiful long dark hair and the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. During this visit, she was showing off baby pictures of her newborn. Around this time, I noticed that it was a little too warm in the restaurant. In fact, it was positively sweltering. It was late fall, so I understood why they were using the heating system, but they were overdoing it. I shrugged out of my jacket and asked Tatiana what was going on with the heating system. She replied that the owner had recently replaced the heater and was testing it to see how powerful it was. A bead of sweat formed on my forehead. I asked that Tatiana move us to an area closer to the door for the breeze. She quickly obliged. When she came back with our food, I told her to tell the manager not to worry at all: his heating unit worked perfectly. That evening, our food definitely didn’t have the chance to cool down at all!
