I’m all for getting the house ready for summer. Around here, sealing up the house super slim for the summer time will end up saving a good bit of money. The fact is that Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling isn’t cheap and whatever I can do to mitigate those costs, I’m willing to do. But really, saving on Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling is something that starts before the intense heat and humidity descend on our region. For our family, the two of us start our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling strategy in the Springtime. When you walk out the door in our village the first time the temps get over 85, you hear a chorus of heat pumps. Ours is not singing. The people I was with and I make a conscious option to leave the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling off as much as possible in the Springtime. Sure, if there is a freak 90 something degree morning, the two of us might kick the a/c on when the two of us get home from toil to cool the house off. But other than that, it’s windows open and a/c off. This allows us to actemperature to the heat and lets us get accustomed to the warmer rapidly increasing temperatures without Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling. So when the summer time is here, love now, the two of us have the a/c on but the thermostat is set much higher than many. The people I was with and I keep the thermostat in the low to mid 74’s while I was in the peak heating hours of the morning. Then the two of us cool it off to around 78 or so for the evening and to sleep. This saves so much money on Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling costs. Plus, it makes the heat believe not so overwhelming so the two of us can adore the outdoors while I was in the morning and late into the evening as well.
