Are you sure you know how to repair air conditioners?

My sister called me and asked if I could look at her air conditioner unit for her.

She knew I wasn’t an Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer, although I worked on my own Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment.

When I looked at the air conditioner unit, I knew the fan motor wasn’t working and she asked if I knew how to repair the fan motor. I told her I could do it, however once again let her know I wasn’t an Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer. She didn’t seem to mind. I called the local home center and offered them the numbers on the fan motor and asked if the had one and the fan blades to go with it. He said they had them in stock and asked if I wanted them to bring them up to the counter for me. I offered my sister the price and she said to buy it. When my pal and I got to the home center, she paid for the parts and my pal and I back to her house. On our way back, she looked and me asked if I was sure I knew how to repair air conditioner units. I told her I repaired my air conditioner unit. If I was worried, I would call the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company for her. She shook her head no, and my pal and I got back to the house. It didn’t less than an hour before the current fan motor and blades were in place. I told her she still needed to have the ductwork cleaned, which I couldn’t do, however the air conditioner unit would work. I hoped she called to have the ductwork cleaned soon, because I could see a lot of dust and dirt inside.
