Being married to an HVAC technician isn’t always as easy as you might think it is.
I mean, most of the time his work doesn’t really get in the way of things that we have to do, but sometimes his schedule is a mess.
It seems like it’s always the worst at the beginning of the summer and at the beginning of the winter. That’s when everyone around here seems to wait to schedule their air conditioning tune ups or their furnace tune ups. I guess that makes sense, but you would think there would be the busiest during the deep freeze of winter or the burning hot temperatures during the summer. That’s really not how it is though. Everyone just wants to make sure that their HVAC system is ready for whatever is coming, so they make sure to call and make appointments just before the seasons change. That means that my husband’s HVAC company ends up being the busiest during those times. Unfortunately for me, that’s also when all of the school activities seem to be going on. I end up feeling like a single parent at that point, and it’s really hard to get to all of the activities because he is always busy working late. Other than that, I really like the fact that he is an HVAC technician. He makes a really good living with this job and he also makes sure that we always have the best indoor air quality in the neighborhood. We always have a brand new, top of the line HVAC system in our house.
