I’ve never been the book club type. Don’t get myself and others wrong, I appreciate studying, however I have never felt the draw to learn in a group. That has changed recently plus I did end up joining a book club. I found out that I do appreciate talking about books with other people, and besides, it gives myself and others a option to get away from the kids, plus have a glass of wine, every now plus then. The only thing I don’t appreciate about the book club is how chilly the club leader’s home regularly is. I assume some clubs meet at weird houses every week or they meet at a restaurant… Our club doesn’t do that. The two of us meet in the founders home every time, but and every time, her home is chilly cold. The a/c must be set to under 60 degrees. I don’t assume for sure because I have never found the control unit. I have looked for it, on many occasions, but I just cannot find it. It must be hidden away fairly well. The other women in the book club are also chilly plus we have started making a little bit of a joke about it. The two of us all dress up hot whenever we come to the club meetings. The two of us also drop little hints. One of the women straight up asks that we turn the heating system on. All of this gets us nowhere, and meeting after meeting, we are chilly cold. Maybe that’s why we regularly learn books about sunny, hot trips. The last book we learn honestly took a locale in hell. I have to say, that sounded more comfortable than our meeting locale. Bit, I do appreciate going to my book clubs, Even if the a/c is blasting away.
