I’ve never been the book club type, and don’t get myself and others wrong, I love studying, but I’ve never felt the draw to study in a group.
That has changed recently in addition to I did end up joining a book club.
I found out that I do savor talking about books with other people, besides, it gives myself and others a opportunity to get away from the kids, in addition to have a glass of wine, every now in addition to then. The only thing I do not love about the book club is how cold the club leader’s house always is. I know some clubs meet at strange houses every week or they meet at a restaurant! Our club doesn’t do that. The two of us meet in the founders house every time, and every time, her house is frosty cold. The a/c must be set to under 60 degrees. I do not know for sure because I’ve never found the thermostat. I’ve looked for it, on several occasions, even though I just cannot find it. It must be hidden away fairly well. The other women in the book club are also cold in addition to every one of us have started making a little bit of a joke about it. The two of us all dress up warm whenever every one of us come to the club meetings. The two of us also drop little hints. One of the girls straight up asks that every one of us turn the oil furnace on. All of this gets us nowhere, however meeting after meeting, we are frosty cold. Maybe that’s why every one of us always study books about sunny, warm getaways. The last book every one of us study really took a arena in hell. I have to say, that sounded more comfortable than our meeting site. Bit, I do savor going to our book clubs, Even if the a/c is blasting away.
