Book club meetings are alway frigid

I’ve never been the book club type… Don’t get me wrong, I love studying, however I have never felt the draw to read in a group.

That has changed recently and I did end up joining a book club. I found out that I do enjoy talking about books with other people, besides, it gives me a occasion to get away from the teenagers, and have a glass of wine, every now and then. The only thing I don’t love about the book club is how frigid the club leader’s beach house always is. I know some clubs meet at bizarre houses every month or they meet at a pizzeria, and our club doesn’t do that, every one of us meet in the founders beach house every time! And every time, his beach house is freezing cold. The air conditioner must be set to under 60 degrees. I don’t know for sure because I have never found the control unit. I have looked for it, on several occasions, however I just can’t find it. It must be hidden away fairly well. The other men in the book club are also frigid and the people I was with and I have started making a little bit of a joke about it. Every one of us all dress up warm whenever the people I was with and I come to the club meetings. Every one of us also drop little hints. One of the men straight up asks that the people I was with and I turn the gas furnace on. All of this gets us nowhere. Meeting after meeting, we’re freezing cold. Maybe that is why the people I was with and I always read books about sunny, warm trips. The last book the people I was with and I read genuinely took a locale in hell. I have to say, that sounded more comfortable than our meeting site. Bit, I do enjoy going to our book clubs, Even if the air conditioner is blasting away.
