Camping wasn't as much fun in the cold

My boyfriend dragged me out of the house to go camping. The first time we went was during the month of september. It was still very warm outside and during the day we enjoyed going to the beach and the river. At night the temperatures were cool and there was a pretty nice breeze. It was comfortable inside of the tent even if we didn’t have heat or air conditioning. The second time I went camping with my boyfriend, it was later in the season during the month of november. Temperatures were supposed to be in the low ’80s during the day and in the 50s at night. I knew it was going to be chilly, so I packed an extra blanket and an extra pair of socks. We arrived at the campground as the sun was going down and it definitely seemed colder than 50° already. I checked the temperature on my phone and it was 47°. I asked my boyfriend if he checked the weather recently and he had not. It was supposed to be 37 that night and the next night they were predicting temperatures in the low 30s. Camping wasn’t going to be as much fun if I was freezing cold. I suggested that we go home instead of camping and my boyfriend showed me a small space heater that he had in the truck. He promised to turn on the space heater if it got too cold. I made him get the space heater and plug it in, because I was already cold.
