I lived in this really run down apartment a few years ago.
And let me tell you it was the pits! Literally speaking! Nothing in the place worked.
You also had everything falling apart non stop no matter what you did. The people that ran this apartment complex were real low scum too. But at the time I could not afford to rent a house or be in a decent upscale apartment complex so I was pretty much stuck with it. The other thing that really bothered me was that the metal covering of the air vents in the ceiling were so rotted they kept falling off! I had to call the heating and air conditioning repair people at the apartment complex so many times with this air vent situation. They would fix them, but they would never replace them. This was getting to be a problem. The central heating and air conditioning system they had in the apartment was horrible to begin with. But having the metal coverings on the air vents was getting ridiculous. Not to mention it was dangerous! If I had been walking under the air vents when the metal covers decided to fall down, I could have had one heck of a nasty bump on my head. Or it maybe could have killed me! These were really cheap air vents and the central heating and air conditioning system was even cheaper! Just to get the temperature in the apartment to be where you would set the thermostat, you had to set the thermostat about 10 degrees off! So glad I live in a decent place now.
