The caller sounded nervous when she asked if she could speak to an air conditioning expert.
At the air conditioning business, we get all kinds of callers but a nervous caller is rare.
The central air conditioning in their office complex was not working. I knew the place and it was a big building so I took a fellow cooling tech with me. When we got there we were taken straight to the HVAC unit. On inspecting the air conditioning install system we discovered that it needed a minor air conditioning repair, after that we started on the air conditioning tune-up which seemed to be what the unit mainly needed. Part of aircon care and maintenance involves the regular cleaning of the unit and its parts but from the look of things the building’s management had forgotten all about it. The unit had a lot of dirt and debris and the quality air conditioner blower was where most of the dirt seemed to have collected. We began by flipping the cover of the aircon to access the washable air filters. We then used water and soap with a neat cleaning pad to clean them. We finished the rest of the process and afterward the indoor air cleaning system was as good as new. As we later found out the nervous lady who called to ask for a cooling workman was a new intern who had been tasked with the job and was to produce results before her supervisor came back which explained why she was nervous. Because of how fast and efficient we were with the jobs, the building’s manager later called our air conditioning service provider company to find out about other cooling products we worked on so that they could make us their official AC contractor.
