Committing to long term HVAC plan is a great idea

There are those of us out there who are lucky enough to have been born in the very exact spot they were meant to live.

There is every possibility that I was born to be right where we are.

I have friends who are native to the area that still can’t get into the winter at all. The winters here are indeed tough. Most of the people who can’t embrace the winter then tend to live huddled around the HVAC all winter. It’s the only thing a person can do if they can’t get over the cold temperatures. I feel really lucky that I am fortunate enough to be able to slip right into winter mode. The winter makes me happy. Perhaps that’s why I stayed in the area for college and then married a local boy. Our family is growing so, we have begun to build a new home. And, we are building this home with staying put after the kids are out of the house. Our choice of HVAC plan reflects our commitment to remain in the are for a long, long time to come. We will be heating and cooling our home with a geothermal HVAC system. It uses the earths near constant underground temperature to extract heating and cooling energy. This type of HVAC is definitely more expensive with regard to immediate costs. However, the beauty of this system is both longevity and efficiency. A geothermal HVAC system saves a very significant amount on the utility bill using the earth as the main source of heating and cooling. Additionally, the geothermal HVAC will last nearly twice as long as a conventional central air unit. That is a lot of years to be reaping the benefits of utility savings.
