Community project ends in disaster

This summer, the members of our community got together and decided to build a pool and clubhouse.

  • They hired a well-known pool and landscape business to dig up the dirt and sit down all of the concrete.

They hired two different heating and cooling companies to work on the clubhouse. The building was already there, however it was previously used as a work shed. The building did not have any heat or air conditioning, however me and our co-worker James went over on Tuesday to beginning working on all of the ventilation air duct; James and I were on the task for an hour, before someone from another crew approached us. They told us to stop working on the ventilation air duct and beginning working on a different project. James and I were there to work on the ventilation plan and nothing else. I decided to call our boss and get some clarification. My boss told me not to leave the ventilation task. The people I was with and I were there to work on that and nothing else. The other business wanted us to help with the replacement of the components, however every one of us were not paid to complete that task. James and I had a heated conversation with the other HVAC specialist, but when every one of us refused to complete the additional work, they threatened to withhold money for the task. My boss dealt with that issue after every one of us left for the day, and digging a community pool and setting up the clubhouse was supposed to be a fun Community project, however it just turned out to be a lot of headaches.
