My little entrepreneur daughter, is now becoming interested in business! She really gets that from me, as I own our own corporation involving heating & cooling technology, and but she really got her fashion sense from her mother, who designed clothes for a living; Obviously, she was interested & ready to take part in the fun, however i knew she wouldn’t understand our task really well, so she would have to beginning out with something simple.
I asked our wife what could she do that was simple enough however fun to do? Making bracelets, however my wife had a bunch of colorful beads she kept in a box, & she presented the beads to our daughter.
My kid immediately enjoyed them, & after being shown once, started making her own bracelet. I let her stay up late that night, since she seemed so fascinated by making her things. By afternoon, she had already 20 made, and that’s when she discovered the kids at her school were also interested in her colorful bracelets. She took luck of this & started charging a quarter per bracelet. Other kids picked up on this, & started designing their own bracelets. She then switched tactics, she started adding charms or doing more complicated designs to her bracelets to outcompete her competitors, she even started running specials for long time customers. I was quite proud of her accomplishments, & maybe when she’s older I can beginning teaching her what I do for a living; HVAC technology & HVAC equipment. But that will be awhile, so I will let her love her little bracelet business.
