It was okay but I didn’t feel honestly comfortable in there at first.
There is quite a giant difference between laboring your whole adult life in an office and then laboring from home. It goes far beyond the obvious. The change has affected nearly every facet of how I approach my business. There was always such serenity in the office routine. I got up, got ready and then headed off to my charming, Heating and A/C controlled office with the awesome view. I worked a long time in that contractor to get that office. And once I got it, I never took it for granted. I suppose that’s perhaps 1 of the reasons I took it so hard when I was gave early retirement. At least the contractor was un-biased with me. I have to give them that. They are in the midst of total restructuring and I simply made too much currency for a position they were combining. I was for sure heartbroken but I could see the company side to it as well. Yet, I was still affectionate my toil and really couldn’t see myself not following my passion as I had done for the last 30 plus years. So, I set up a house office and got to work. While I had always diagnosed a little space for me, it was not at all sufficient for my company needs. I ended up knocking out the wall to the adjoining guest room and made this my office. It was okay but I didn’t feel honestly comfortable in there at first. The room was too hot. The Heating and A/C contractor had an answer for me. They put in a ductless mini cut Heating and A/C component in there and now it is the perfect space for myself and others to continue my work.
