Elliot knew flying out of the country before summer was the best thing to do.
He had a business meeting that he had to finish. Ever since he graduated college, Elliot and his siblings have had a standing summer tradition. They would visit each other and leave the kids for summer. This gave parents time to chill and relax in a house free from kids or go on adult vacations. Since Elliot is single, he never had to take the kids when they were little. But, now that they’re older, he is going to have them over for a month for the first time. Elliot got back home a week later and began preparing the house for the arrival of his nephews and nieces. A day before they were set to arrive, he woke up to a hot and humid house. Elliot was covered in sweat and he knew right away there was an issue with the air conditioning in his home. He bought the house about 6 years back and it came with a properly working air conditioning. An HVAC expert had come to the house at that time to do an inspection and told him he could use it for several more years. But, after that, Elliot will have to replace the air conditioning with a new unit. It seems the time has come to replace the air conditioning, but Elliot chose to do this after the kids had left. Instead, he phoned an HVAC expert to come to the house to fix the faulty air conditioning. A few hours later, Elliot had a knock at his door and he directed the HVAC expert to the air conditioning. He explained he was having family over and wanted it working for at least another month.
