It had been several years since I met my sisters up in the mountains to fish the beautiful streams & rivers of that region.
My dad was the one who instilled the like of nature in all several of us.
Being the youngest, I felt that I was constantly trying to catch up to my sisters on those trips. Yet, my dad was constantly so good about making sure that she got us out of the air conditioner of home & up to the condo whenever she could. That condo was one of the prides of my dad’s life. It didn’t have any sort of residential Heating & Air Conditioning. It was just so basic. There was a pot bellied stove for heating during the Winter trips. But the two of us didn’t go up there all that much in the winter. My Dad just didn’t like us being up there with the option of getting snow in for a long time. I think dad sort of relished the system that he’d get stuck up there & would have to rely on the heating of a wood stove as opposed to the gas gas furnace at home. So when I finally agreed to meet my sisters at the condo for fishing, I was stunned to see all the swings. They had installed a ductless heat pump so the two of us had Heating & Air Conditioning cooling at night after a long day in the sun. The Heating & Air Conditioning component updates weren’t the only improvements either as the two of us now had an indoor toilet as well. My sisters did a good job & it was such a surprise for me. I’m looking forward to getting up there & enjoying that current ductless heat pump as much as I can going forward.
