Getting the most out of lifestyle change with new HVAC

It wasn’t an easy topic to really embrace.

And I knew that because every time I tried to change my unhealthy lifestyle, it would last 2 weeks at best.

That was a reality and I just had to figure out how to get myself to stick with a life full of healthier habits. I guess that was one of the surprises I encountered when it came to the pandemic. When my wife and I had to basically stay at home inside the air conditioning to prevent getting the virus, we had a lot more time on our hands. And at first, we treated the whole thing like some sort of snow day or something. We got fast food delivered on the daily and drank way more booze and beer than ever. That lasted about a month until we realized that we were going to be spending the summer inside the HVAC cooling of our home. I think when we realized that this pandemic was going to continue for a very long time, we decided to get as much value from all that time in the air conditioning. We started out by eliminating the fast food deliveries altogether. That was the start. Then when we left the HVAC security of the house to go shopping, we only bought healthy food. And we made a point of preparing that healthy food each day. We also started slipping out of the air conditioning to just get a walk in a couple of days. From there, we started a home gym in the basement. I had the HVAC professionals come out to install a ductless heat pump down there so we would have great heating and cooling for all of our workouts.
