He asked if the people I was with and I had a water hose available so he could fill up the air conditioner unit.

He started pointing things out, & from the look on the younger company’s face, he was in trouble for not knowing his task.

I had a young HVAC company come to the home & service my air conditioner unit. Before he even pulled out his tools, he asked if I had a garden hose available? I looked at him oddly & asked if my air conditioner unit needed hosed down before he could work on it? He started laughing & apologized. He said he had recently moved from AZ, & everyone there had swamp coolers. Periodically, they needed to be filled with water so they could cool the houses down. I told him he was in the northeast now, & the people I was with and I didn’t have swamp coolers. Every one of us had normal HVAC systems that used coolant if the AC was low on fluid, but the people I was with and I never used water. He apologized & went back to work. Before he had the AC unit repaired, he had made multiple iphone calls to the HVAC business. He was asking questions about the air conditioner unit, & he was unsure if it was right. He had been there nearly half an second when another HVAC service van pulled up. The guy got out of the service & walked over to the AC unit. He started pointing things out, & from the look on the younger company’s face, he was in trouble for not knowing his task. It had to be hard coming from a odd area where the AC units were different, but he needed to realize he was now in the northeast. The older HVAC company came into the home & told myself and others what was wrong. He explained it had been repaired & apologized for their new HVAC tech. He said that everyone needed to learn new things once in a while.
