Today was the day when my wife finally asked me to put away all of the air conditioners.
The fall is coming, and the air outside has been chilly. While we haven’t needed to turn our furnace on or anything, it is definitely too chilly outside to really need an air conditioner. At this point, all that we need to do is open the window or turn on a fan. We have a lot of air conditioners, and it was my job to put every air conditioner in the attic until next spring. We have a lot of storage space in the attic for the air conditioners, but the stairway we use to get up into the attic is unstable and small. It is always a huge pain carrying the air conditioners up this later, but for the last few years, I have been able to put the air conditioners in the attic without any trouble. Unfortunately, that trend was broken this year. I had carried ever single air conditioner up to the attic save one, but at this point, I was incredibly tired. Walking up and down the stairs with the air conditioner was wearing me out, and I was ready for a break. I decided to try to carry the last air conditioner just to get it over with, but halfway up, my foot slipped. I tripped, sending me down the stairs, and the air conditioner after me. Thankfully, I was able to shift the air conditioner to the side, watching it come crashing down to the floor. Now, I need a new air conditioner and a new leg. My leg bruised badly!
