I called the HVAC company, but forgot why.

Last week, I had it written on the calendar that it was time to call the HVAC company.

For the life of me, I couldn’t remember why I was calling the HVAC company. I didn’t think it was time to have the inspection done on the air conditioning unit, and I had already changed the air filters. I called my son to ask if he knew why I put the note on the calendar. He asked if I had the air conditioning unit inspected yet? I told him I didn’t think it was time, but he argued. He said I should have it done soon, or I may need to wait. The next day, I called the HVAC company and told them I wanted to make an appointment to have the air conditioning unit inspected and cleaned. The woman I was talking to told me she had set the appointment up when they did the cleaning last spring, and it was due to be done in a couple of days. I remembered why I had that note on the calendar. I wasn’t supposed to call the HVAC company, but it was to remind me the HVAC technician would be there to do the maintenance and inspection. I’ll need to make my notes more clear the next time I write on the calendar. I could have made myself look like a complete idiot if I had called for no reason. The woman on the phone was nice enough to remind me the HVAC technician was going to arrive that day, and not laugh at me.
