I feel better knowing my Mother is protected by a security system

My mom’s house is outfitted with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, moisture and motion sensors, motion activated lights, surveillance cameras and automated door looks.

My mother just turned 76 years old. She is still active, healthy and quite independent. Her mind is sharp and alert. She still drives, works in her gardens, mows her lawn and keeps up with everyday tasks and hobbies. She enjoys having her own home and privacy. I have no desire to take that away from her, but I am concerned about her being alone there. I take the time to check in with her each day at some point. Whether by texting or stopping in to see her, I make sure she’s OK. My mom eats dinner at my house several times per week. She also joins us for a family picnic on most weekends. I still worry about her maybe falling, injury or the threat of an intruder breaking into her house. I have peace of mind now that we invested in a security system for her home. If there’s any problem, I know that I’ll get alerted. My mom has a panic button she can access that reaches out to me as well as a monitoring company. If both of us can’t get ahold of my mother, the proper authorities will be dispatched instantly. If anyone should enter her house and doesn’t punch in the proper security code, an alarm will sound and once again the monitoring company will check on her. My mom’s house is outfitted with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, moisture and motion sensors, motion activated lights, surveillance cameras and automated door looks. While the security system doesn’t necessarily stop problems from happening, it ensures that my mom receives the help she needs as soon as possible. Even if my husband or I aren’t available, I know my mom will receive swift assistance. My mother is really happy with the security system and feels a lot more confident in her home.
