Over the course of my heating and A/C job I have dealt with a big variety of purchasers both nice and bad.
And keep in mind that while at least ninety percent have been good, there are always those exhausting people who are few and far between.
While I would love to consider myself to be a single of the fortunate technicians that has had a majority of them be nice purchasers that I have absolutely become friends with over the years, I would have to say that the worst purchasers I have had over the past 20 years are without a doubt my parents! I don’t guess I could ever be able to tell you the exact reason why this is the truth, but for some reason whenever I head over to my elderly parents’ beach house to catch up with them and have dinner, they never fail to bring up something that they need something fixed with their air conditioner unit! Despite the fact that I have already urged them at least a dozen times to upgrade that mangled piece of junk from the seventies with a more new heating and A/C component that will last them for various years to come, these two are just simply stuck in their seasoned ways and would rather give me a difficult time about fixing the old thing rather than taking care of the actual problem… The worst thing of all is that while my other purchasers pay me, the difficult work I do for these two always ends up being 100% free… Yes, of course I love my parents—but after various years of doing free heating and A/C repairs, I believe you can say that I am starting to get a little bit tired of it. I believe that just comes with the territory of having elderly parents in their own house, but after a lifetime of taking care of me, I believe it’s time for me to take care of them for a change.
