My friend and I have started going on shopping trips together on the weekends.
- He’s got a wife and three kids, so the only time he gets outside the house is when he has to run errands for the family.
Since I do all of my shopping and errands on the weekend as well, it’s a nice excuse for us to hang out. Sometimes we’ll go down to a shopping mall or other times we’ll just go to a department store. Usually I try to look at sale papers during the week to see what sort of sales will be available by the time we get to the weekend and I can go out with my friend. Recently though he’s been wanting to go to the hardware store. He had expressed I need to get light bulbs for his basement when we had spoken last earlier in the week. I decided to suggest helping him pick out a new air conditioner filter as well. He had told me for a while that he had struggled quite a bit with finding a good air conditioner filter for his HVAC system. Him and his family all have allergies and the basic air conditioner filters they were using originally or not filtering out enough dust. They’ve decided that they need to do something about all their allergy problems. That’s when I suggested he get a higher quality air conditioner filter that’s better at filtering dust and other microbial particles. The only issue with getting a better air conditioner filter is the cost. The air conditioner filters they were using were only $10 a piece. Unfortunately the air conditioner filter that I suggested they start using is $18 a piece. They might be more expensive, but they’re definitely worth the added expense. They filter out a lot more than dust, that’s for sure.
