A few weeks ago when I went camping with my boyfriend and his family I ended up having a terrible time.
I had never gone camping prior to that in my entire life, and every single stereotype that I had about camping turned out to be real. The campfire breakfast and dinner were both nasty in my opinion, and having to sleep in a hot and stuffy tent with four other people without any source of air conditioning made me feel like I was being punished or something. To make matters worse his family members gave me a hard time about how miserable I was since I come from a pretty wealthy background and has sure as heck ever slept the night somewhere that doesn’t have well working A/C or running water. That’s why when my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go camping again this weekend I was quick to turn down the offer. He knew how much I hated the first trip, and this time around he promised me that this time would be much more comfortable. He said we will go in the family camper where there is a bathroom, as much air conditioning as you could ever need, and no pesky bugs. With the air conditioning in mind and the hope to win back the favor of his parents I decided that I will give camping another shot. If there is A/C and I don’t have to sweat my rear end off all night, then life going camping in a fancy camper could work out just fine for me.
