I need to get my life back together as an HVAC technician

I have done stupid things, and I have definitely reaped the consequences of my decisions.

I used to be a drug user, and I was busted by the police nearly 5 years ago.

I was making my own drugs, so I instantly had a felony charge and had to serve time in prison. Now that I am out, I am discovering how difficult it is to get back on your feet. Everyone says that they support rehab in prison, but nobody wants to give a job to a felon. Thankfully, one HVAC company had mercy on me. I am going to turn my life around as an HVAC technician. Trade jobs have a reputation for hiring a rough sort of people. However, most of them won’t hire felons. The HVAC company that I am working for is different. They are willing to hire me and train me as an HVAC technician on the condition that I don’t rebound. As long as I prove myself and stay clean, I will have a career as an HVAC technician for life. For the first year, I am only allowed to help the HVAC technicians. I will be working at new houses where there is nothing that I can steal. Most people aren’t excited about felons, so the HVAC company keeps me away from the customers at first. If I do well, the HVAC company will begin paying for my training as an HVAC company. Since no college will accept me, the HVAC company trains me by myself. Eventually, I will be a fully certified HVAC technician with a future ahead of me. I will definitely not mess this up for myself.
