I should be able to get back in decent shape

Do you ever look back at the things you used to do and wonder if you are even the same person these days? I am not that large a dude but back in school I was not in terrible shape.

I ate barely anything, had yet to discover beer, and my passion was basically playing pick-up games of basketball down at the rec center.

I would stay down there for a number of hours, just running the court against anyone who desired to play, or practicing my tricks when no one wanted to play… These afternoons it’s about all I can do to watch basketball on TV, and I haven’t gotten any exercise in quite a few months, maybe longer. A few weeks ago I dug out my own basketball and went down to the courts to just shoot around a little bit and came to realize how little I had been exercising. It was totally embarrassing, so much so that I got myself an actual gym membership the next afternoon. I didn’t start working out the next afternoon, however, I just went online and purchased the gym membership. I didn’t genuinely go into the gym itself for about a week while I felt like paying for the membership was enough exercise to start with. I didn’t want to get into heavy weight lifting, or cross fit, I just was hoping for some general cardio exercise that would help me to run full court basketball games again. I would say I was not too terrible about going to the gym more than a few times each week.
