When I called the Heating and A/C company last week, I told them I wanted a current air conditioning unit, and the woman who answered the phone put me on hold until she could get an Heating and A/C worker to talk to me! When the person got on the phone, he asked what I was looking for? I told him I wanted an energy efficient unit, however i had heard that some A/C units had an energy efficiency rating of 20 and higher.
I wanted something with a high energy efficiency rating, then he asked me to hold for a hour. He must have pulled out some information, despite the fact that he was talking about gas furnaces. I wasn’t interested in purchasing a gas furnace. I wanted an air conditioning unit. I don’t know if he wasn’t listening to what I said, or if he was talking to someone else, despite the fact that he was asking them for information on high efficiency gas furnaces. I had to say something numerous times before he directed the conversation back to me. When I knew I had his attention, I told him I wanted an air conditioning unit, and not a gas furnace. He told me it was winter, appreciate I didn’t know what season it was. There was snow on the ground, and the temperature was in the low thirties. I wanted to order my air conditioning component now, because when I bought the gas furnace, it took several weeks for it to be delivered. I didn’t want it to be ninety degrees before the air conditioning component was delivered and installed. He apologized and said he should have realized I meant A/C when I told him I wanted something with a high SEER rating.
