It had been a long productive business year, and I was grateful for everything we had achieved so far. Unfortunately, our success meant that we were worn out and hardly had any time to recharge. Our clients had kept us on our toes from the first day we resumed business at the beginning of the year, and we rarely got time to break. Weekends came and went without notice. However, I told my husband that we needed to take a break to rest and recharge. We ran our small financial audit firm together and had a small team of employees. Everyone was exhausted, and I feared that our productivity would soon be affected. We decided to close business early this year since most of our client’s books were in order. My spouse and I decided to take a month-long vacation to unwind and escape the craze of the business world. I suggested something intimate as I did not want to stay at a hotel. My husband booked us an affordable rental home where we would stay for the entire month. Everything about this space was thoughtfully put together. The bathrooms, bedrooms, and living rooms were excellent for the kind of intimacy I desired. What impressed me even more, was the modular kitchen. Though small, it had everything anyone would need in a kitchen. It had all the essential equipment, and the shelving was impressive. I was amazed at how creative the owner was to utilize the small space this beautifully. It was almost as if we were home, only that this was a smaller perfect space. It was so peaceful staying here that I did not believe how fast our vacation ended. I will be going back to space when we can afford to retake a long break.
