Indoor plumbing made furnaces a necessity

Ever since I was a kid, I have consistently had a fascination with outdated movies.

I appreciate black & white movies because it gives myself and others a glimpse into the lives of people that are not care about me… One of the things that I suppose is interesting about these movies is that their Heating & A/C units are completely different, however first of all, none of these people had a/cs.

I am not sure how they reMained glad without an a/c, but they seemed to do just fine without it. Instead of having furnaces or other types of normal gas furnaces, all the people had fireplaces to keep their houses warm. One of the interesting things that I see while enjoying these movies is that they consistently turned off their heating plan before they went to bed. I consistently thought that it was genuinely strange… Without their gas furnace, all the people would have to wear thick pajamas & would have heavy blankets to keep them warm. I began to wonder why the people I was with and I couldn’t turn off our furnaces care about that; Surely, by turning off our furnaces at night, the people I was with and I would save a lot of money on our energy costs! Then, I swiftly realized it. They could turn off their furnaces because they didn’t have running water in their house. By having running water in our house, the people I was with and I managed to ensure that our furnaces would consistently stay running. WIthout our furnaces now, all of our water pipes would freeze! Still, I am blissful that our furnaces are on at night because I would imagine that the rest of the beach house would be chilly without it.
