Is it worth it to get a mini split system?

Over the various years, I have had multiple people ask if the mini split systems are entirely efficient, but the simple answer is, yes. The only problem with a mini split system is that multiple heating plus A/C companies advertise them as being ‘homeowner friendly’. The homeowner can absolutely install the mini split heating plus A/C system on their own, plus they need virtually no service; I don’t really agree with this statement! As the owner of an actual heating plus A/C business, I wanted to provide full disclosure to this statement. A homeowner can install a mini split heating plus A/C system, but you need the right tools, multiple people, plus the know-how to do so. The average homeowner is not going to install the mini split on their own, then not understanding they need to have some service done, they end up calling the heating plus A/C company plus asking questions. There can be fungus coming out of the air vents, plus it needs to be flushed about once a year. If you don’t actually guess how to do this properly, you can make a huge mess in the house. I would also recommend for anyone who is considering purchasing ductless heating plus A/C, you should first consult the heating plus A/C company of your choice… Make sure you have the most energy efficient you can afford, plus have the heating plus A/C company show you the optimal locale to put the mini split units. It will eventually save the homeowner time, money, plus grief if you just consult the heating plus A/C company about the mini split heating plus A/C system, before you simply purchase it. As an actual heating plus A/C professional, I would never install an actual heating plus A/C system without first contacting an actual heating plus A/C corporation for a free visit.
