It is my goal to get back in decent shape

Do you ever look back at the things you used to do plus wonder if you are even the same man these days? I am not that large a dude by any means, but back in college I was fairly fit.

I ate hardly anything, had yet to discover beer, plus my passion was playing pick-up games of basketball down at the rec center.

I would stay down there for hours at a time, just running the court against anyone who wanted to play, or practicing my various moves when people weren’t playing. These days it’s about all I can do to watch basketball on TV, plus I haven’t gotten any exercise in quite some time. A few weeks ago I dug out my old basketball plus went down to the courts to just shoot around a little bit plus realized how little I had been exercising as of late. It was completely embarrassing, so much so that I got myself a gym membership the very next day. I didn’t get started with working out the next day though, I just went online plus got the gym membership. I didn’t honestly go into the gym itself for a long period of time. A section of me thought that paying for the membership was enough exercise initially. I didn’t want to get into weight lifting, or cross fit, I just wanted some general cardio workouts that would get me able to run full court basketball games once more. I would say I was pretty excellent about going to the gym multiple times a week after a little while.
