I am not sure about the exact age of our oil furnace, however I suppose it’s old.
This oil furnace came with the house, which I bought 13 years ago.
When I asked our Heating as well as A/C corporation how old she thought our oil furnace was, she said she could not tell for sure. Obviously, both of us knew it was at least 13 years old. However, by looking at it closely, she guessed it was about 15 years old. I didn’t prefer how old it was, because I never knew when it was going to stop running… Every fall, when I switched on the oil furnace after a long season of it standing in silence, I feared it not turning on at all, or needing repair abruptly after. The Heating as well as A/C professional asked myself and others a few questions about the oil furnace before suggesting anything, then first, she wanted to suppose how often it needed to be repaired. Then, she wanted to suppose about our yearly utility bills. I told him that it needed to be repaired at least twice per season as well as that our utility bills seemed to get higher as well as higher as the years passed by, but based on our answers, the Heating as well as A/C professional suggested that I look into buying a current a single at the end of the season. It was costing myself and others more currency to keep our current oil furnace rather than buying a current a single, then a brand current oil furnace would cost more upfront, however it would save myself and others currency in the long run. I guess it’s time to start saving!
