Lack of HVAC system during power outages

I wasn’t surprised when the power went out in my office yesterday, but I was disappointed! The weather channel had been calling for drastic thunderstorms, so I had anticipated that the electricity would have a power outage.

This office building consistently loses power during high winds and drastic storms, absolutely because the building is so old.

Whenever the power goes out, we’re forced to work in the dark and without heat and air, and our boss consistently gives us the freedom to leave, but if the power goes out, it’s usually because of an exhausting storm and it’s not wise to absolutely leave! A few minutes after I arrived, the lights began to flicker and the sky became absolutely dark. This is when I knew that the storm was about to hit and that I was going to lose power shortly in my office. I suddenly began to charge my computer and my cell phone and did as much work as I could before the inevitable. When the power finally went out, the temperature of the office dropped significantly. The building was so poorly insulated that the hat escaped suddenly in situations like this. Since the power went out so often, a lot of employees kept a blanket at their desks for situations like this. I love my work, but I absolutely need a new office because the lack of heating and A/C plans during the power outages is absolutely affecting my productivity. If I can’t get a new office, I could at least benefit from a gas furnace.
