I was late for work the other day, but it was through no fault of my own.
The reason I was late was because I was awake till near 2am dealing with emergency heating and air conditioning repair service.
My central heating and air conditioning system broke down just as I was about to go to bed. And because the weather is so darn hot outside right now, I really need central air conditioning to even survive in this messy weather! Everyone in this area does. So I had no choice but to call the local emergency heating and air conditioning repair hotline and have them dispatch one of their certified heating and air conditioning specialists at the very expensive rate all emergency heating and air conditioning services cost. I waited a while for the heating and air conditioning repair man to show up, and when he did I was highly impressed that he was able to get the central heating and air conditioning system up and running once again really fast. However, because it was so late and because it took the heating and air conditioning repair company to get the emergency heating and air conditioning repair guy out to me, I overslept and was late for work! When I told the boss the story I just wrote above, he was totally good with it and understood what I had been through. He said that he would not even dock my pay and I would get paid for the full day. That was very understanding of him and the company that I work for. But I hope I never have an HVAC emergency like that ever again!
