There would be very little getting done in my life without all the lists.
- Actually, I’ve sort of condensed the to do lists down to just one.
I have a small notebook that I list my chores in so I don’t forget. And that list goes everywhere with me. Given that my schedule doesn’t allow for a whole lot of time to kick back in the air conditioning and just relax, the list keeps me on schedule. But there was a time in my life when I was actually able to keep all the stuff together in my mind. I didn’t need a list and though it was funny so many people had one. Well life flipped that joke around on me. Chief among my chores are the HVAC responsibilities for our household. Each month, I make sure that I change the HVAC air filter. This ensures that the HVAC equipment is getting all the unobstructed air flow it needs. Maximum air flow allows the HVAC unit to run at peak efficiency as well as lessening the load on the HVAC equipment. Additionally, I like to take the time while I change the air filter to check on other parts of the heating and cooling equipment. Namely, I walk the house to make sure that all the ductwork is open and unobstructed. Then, I take a stroll outside to be sure the HVAC cabinet outside is also free of debris and vegetation. One thing I’ve taken off my list is the HVAC maintenance. We still get the vital HVAC maintenance for sure. But I signed up for the HVAC service plan and that lets the HVAC company set the appointments. That’s one thing I can take off my list.
