It was eighty-two outside and the temperature was supposed to be close to ninety the next day! I was looking at my a/c and considering turning it on.
The only thing that kept me from turning on the a/c, was that it wasn’t took care of and evaluated for summer.
I had been told the a/c component had to be substituted this year, and I wanted to put that cost off as long as possible. I called the Heating and A/C dealer and they quoted me a price for a up-to-date a/c unit. I almost fainted when I heard the price. I told them I needed to keep the seasoned a/c component running, no matter what it cost. The costs of repairs couldn’t be nearly as high as the cost of the up-to-date a/c unit. I called the Heating and A/C dealer that afternoon, and asked them to come out and disinfect the seasoned AC unit, when the Heating and A/C specialist arrived the next morning, he said it was going to be hot, and it was a great thing I was having the a/c cleaned and took care of. I agreed and said nothing about the need for a up-to-date a/c that had been told to me last year, but he made a few minor repairs and told me it should keep it going for a while, although he wasn’t sure it would last the season. I thanked him for his work and paid him. I had four months to keep the a/c component running, and hopefully I could save money for a up-to-date one before next summer.
