A few weeks ago, I was visiting my parents for the weekend.
They live about 45 minutes away from me, so I get to see them at least twice per month.
My kids love going to their house because they get to do whatever they want. My mom and dad allow them to bounce all over the house and eat as much junk food as possible. We spent the weekend with my parents and one morning I woke up from hearing some noises in the living room area. When I went to investigate, I found my dad working out to a workout class and fitness video on the internet. I have never known my dad to work out, especially not since he retired. In fact, I have never heard him express any interest in wellness and fitness. But I was happy to see that he was trying to stay active. Well, seeing him gave me a great idea. I decided to get him a fitness watch that will track his fitness level and get him a subscription to an app that I personally use. My dad isn’t into a whole lot of gadgets, but I believe he will love these fitness items. Not only will they create workout plans for him, but they will also keep track of any weight loss and monitor his heart and the calories that he’s burning. Both the watch and the app will track his daily activities, and he will be able to see in real time how many steps he’s taking each day. Perhaps this change in wellness and fitness will get my dad to finally agree to go to the gym with me.
