A lot of pool construction involves ornate project design.
When I was younger, I was not really into sports like most kids and young people are, and that certainly hasn’t changed. Even so, I was active, which has changed because I am now older and have a couple of chronic pain conditions. Quite frankly, the only exercise I really like anymore is swimming. That is why I am so excited to learn that my rather small city has decided to undertake pool construction! I live in a bedroom community outside a small-to-medium sized city, and in order to go swim laps, I have to drive 45 minutes to get to the city pool in my neighboring city. Because my little town is little, I never had any idea they would consider municipal pool construction, but I always secretly hoped either the county, city, or some private investor would take on pool construction with a vengeance. In this day and age, pool construction can be quite involved, and I guess that’s okay, but I will be happy with a simple rectangular pool with lap lanes that can be taken down for the occasional water aerobics classes. A lot of pool construction involves ornate project design. Pool construction can include spas, splash zones for kids, locker rooms and other facilities, waterfalls, fountains, beach-like sloped entries, and who knows what else. All of these things are lovely, of course, but I am just excited that there is pool construction for a public pool happening at all. I don’t need all that fancy stuff; all I need is a place to swim and change clothes. I plan to be first in the water once that pool construction becomes an actual pool.
