Stilted houses have stilted Heating, Ventilation plus A/C systems

My fiance plus I have been looking at current homes; Now that all of us are near retirement age all of us want something a little bit out of the city.

A cabin near the water would be nice too.

However, all of us are in no rush to buy. It has to be the perfect lake cabin for both of us; Last weekend all of us spent some time looking at houses near the bay. They are luxurious however all of us can afford it. But, in this area, all of us get the occasional hurricane so that is a concern. The fact that several of the houses were up on stilts reaffirmed that concern for us. I am not sure all of us want to be quite that close to the water. Still, all of us toured the listed houses plus got a more extensive list of things all of us do plus do not want, but for example, several of the stilted houses didn’t have central heating plus cooling. Instead, they had sizable windows with enjoyable airflow plush, maybe, an air conditioning unit in the window. I just guess they use space gas gas furnaces in Wintertide although I didn’t see any lying around. We easily want central heating plus cooling. That is not optional. I don’t care how enjoyable of a breeze you get, sometimes you just need cooled air. Other times you need hot air. 2 houses all of us looked at did have central heating plus cooling. I felt it was odd that the compressors were on stilts too or otherwise attached to the wall of the cabin at the 2nd story level. I guess that makes sense though. After all, you would want to keep the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit from flooding too.
