For the 2nd summer in a row, I am stuck without an AC in my car. Last summer, I went through the same thing. I live in a region that gets really hot. There are people that don’t even move without cooling. They go from a/c in the house, to heavy ac in the car and then finish a meal in a restaurant with cooling. Having a car without AC is almost worse than having a car without a stereo. In my opinion, having a car without AC is possibly worse than having sticky breaks or a broken tail light. I hate being super sweaty, sticky and fighting mold in my car. My job requires me to drive around too! I refuse to show up to meet clients sweaty and smelly. That is why I took my car into the auto shop recently. I drove up to the shop in addition to noticed there were a lot of cars parked outside already. It seemed like everyone wanted maintenance. I called a friend to come pick me up so I didn’t have to wait on my a/c repair all day. When I went inside, the mechanic told me it was tough to diagnose the problem without doing full AC inspection. I agreed but asked him what the price tag might be on that. He couldn’t tell me. I figured it was worth every penny to get a/c. Well the guy must have done a lot more than repair the cooling because my bill was over 1000! At least I now have cooling to drive around with.
