Every time I think I’ve been through the worst that has to come, there is always something even worse just waiting around the corner for me.
- See, last year, I was dealt a real massive headache when I found out that my air conditioning system was on the road to death.
I am being pretty dramatic here, but the A/C unit was working less and less effectively until it would eventually stop working altogether. That was a real pain to deal with, simply because I wasn’t expecting the system to fail for several more years! In fact, I was under the impression that my air conditioning system was fairly new. I was misled! My heating, ventilation and air conditioning service technician was actually telling me that the air handler was in great condition. The actual unit that creates cold air, however, was not. So, rather than fork over thousands of dollars to pay for the repairs, I felt it more suitable to just spend that money on a small portable air conditioning unit. This little device provided cool air with the use of ice, which would evaporate and provide cool, humid air. Thankfully, I live in a desert region, so this was just the right amount of air conditioning and with just the right humidity to make sure I was comfortable. From there, I just had to make due. Having no central air conditioning in my home was a real nightmare, but I managed to survive for almost a year using only that small portable A/C device.
