I looked at the gas furnace when the people I was with and I bought the house, plus I was sure it would work.
It looked brand new plus wasn’t dusty. I think that should have been my first warning, because when the gas furnace is in a dirt floored basement, it shouldn’t be immaculately clean, but like I said; I’m not an Heating as well as A/C specialist. When the Heating as well as A/C specialist arrived, he asked why the previous owners hadn’t had the gas furnace upgraded before selling? He had been telling them for the past 2 years that the Heating as well as A/C system needed upgraded. He commented they had done an excellent task cleaning the ‘old girl’ up, but that didn’t make the gas furnace running any better. He asked if they had installed a new air conditioner unit? I shook my head, plus he looked at me. He asked why I didn’t have the inspections done before buying the house? I told him the gas furnace looked love it should work. He told myself and others his Grandfather looked love he should work too, but that didn’t mean he should when he was almost ninety years old. I got the point plus asked him for an quote on a new Heating as well as A/C system. He told myself and others he would put in a call to the Heating as well as A/C contractor, plus he could be at the apartment that afternoon if he didn’t have a full schedule.
