I guess the old man HEPA filter clerk is going to be losing his job again.
He was working at the other store that closed for a long time but they went out of business because the family running it got divorced and they sold the business.
Now the new local contractor is going to be closing down because the owner is sick and can no longer run the business. I wonder if the old man is going to look for another job or if he is going to throw in the towel as he is almost 80 years old now and probably tired of working so many years. He was an HVAC salesman 60 years ago when he started going door to door trying to sell new HVAC technology. I can’t imagine going door to door again trying to sell something, all of the rejection would make me go home in tears each night. I guess the heating and air conditioning field uses other methods now to sell units instead of door to door. It’s amazing how much life has changed with the advent of the internet, imagine living without the internet all over again? It would take me a week to research all of the HVAC technology 30 years ago compared to now where I can do it in a matter of minutes. I wonder what it is going to be like in another 50 years with the internet, I don’t think I can even fathom where they are going to take it. I think I’ll go over to the HVAC business now.
