My Dad plus dad live next door to an older woman that has been a hoarder her whole life.
When I was a kid, the woman’s backyard was filled with trash.
She had aged machines kneeling all over the yard plus the backyard looked appreciate a junkyard instead of a carefully manicured shrubbery. Just a handful of weeks ago, someone called the Sheriff’s Office to complain about the mess in the backyard. The odor plus stench from all of the junk plus garbage was starting to affect the neighbors. The Sheriff’s Office showed up with a social worker. They checked on the inside of the home as well as the backyard. The next day, the woman had to move out of her home. There was a large sticker on the door stating that the home was going to be condemned. My Dad plus Dad tried to find out what was wrong with the house, however they were not successful. I know that the woman was hoarding a lot of junk, because there was a semi truck out front for days. They threw away all kinds of trash from the house. The woman was hoarding A/C units in her home. She had more than a dozen unusual A/C units, however all of them were broken. She claimed to use all of the machines for parts, however that seems appreciate an unlikely story. Hoarding is a bad mental disease, plus some people collect items that have entirely no use. The broken down A/C units were only an indication of a much larger problem.
