Last year more than 960 students showed up to register for elementary university; I was astonished by the growing number, that was about 100 more students than the people I was with and I had while I was in the previous university year, as principal of the university, it was our job to figure out how to teach all of the youngsters in the area; Both of us had to hire extra instructors, however the people I was with and I could not build extra classrooms.
I spoke with a couple of people at the university board & they suggested a portable building.
I didn’t want the Courtyard to look care about a disaster, however a portable building was our only choice. The university board allowed me to select several portable buildings for several additional classrooms on the property. I chose several buildings that were pressing enough for a big class & several instructors. I had a great system to combine classes in these bigger portable buildings, however one of the best features in the semi permanent structures was a brand-new ductless HVAC unit, and each a single of the portable buildings came with a ductless HVAC unit. The buildings didn’t have traditional ductwork or insulation, so the HVAC component ran a lot while I was in the Winter & the Summer months. The portable buildings were a big success & the parents & students seemed to be cheerful with the new variations, we’re going to keep the Portable Buildings for classrooms as long as the people I was with and I have enrollment numbers that are close to 1,000 students. Both of us just do not have enough classrooms to support those numbers unless the people I was with and I have extra locales to teach the youngsters.
