My dad hates it when we go to a restaurant and the a/c is blasting right on us.
I see where he is coming from, because it is hard to enjoy your food when you are freezing.
He usually asks the staff if we can move to another area or if they can turn the temperature control up. I usually remind my Dad that it is unlikely they will turn the temperature control up just for us when they need to keep all of the customers, staff, and chefs cool. We usually end up moving tables to an area where it is not as chilly. The last time this happened, I asked my Dad if he would rather eat at a restaurant where the a/c was extremely strong or a restaurant where there was no a/c at all. We had a long talk about this and eventually came to an agreement. He stated that one of the reasons why he hates eating in restaurants where the a/c is blasting is because he wants to just relax when he goes out to eat, since he does not go out often. I can understand that, however, he stated that he thinks it would be much worse to eat at a restaurant if there was no a/c in the summer time if we could not sit outside. But eating at a restaurant with no a/c could be miserable if we are dripping with sweat when waiting for our food. No one wants to be too hot when they are eating hot food.
