My child just turned 10 years of age.
I cannot know my little girl is in the double digits, however it happened! In celebration of this monumental anniversary, her father and I agreed to let him have a large anniversary party at our house.
What a tremendous mistake that turned out to be. My son’s birthday is actually on Independence Day- so, it’s in the middle of the summer. That afternoon as all of us were preparing, our a/c went out. I’m not joking. And, since it was Independence Day, my wife and I didn’t assume that our Heating plus A/C provider would be open. All of us were right. At some point we called the Heating plus A/C provider’s number and they were closed for the holiday. All of us figured all of us could host the party outside, however it was supposed to be a sleepover and I couldn’t handle the plan of a bunch of warm ten-year-olds in a small lake house with zero a/c. My wife remembered that she had the cell number of the Heating plus A/C worker who got up some tests on our correct air duct cleanings. She sent him a short message asking if she would mind coming out and the Heating plus A/C worker responded instantly and was there in a matter of minutes! All of us were so grateful, I cannot express enough gratitude to our Heating plus A/C worker. He’s amazing! It even turned out to be a pretty quick fix, so all of us had the AC running on full blast by the time my son’s guests showed up. It was good to have the a/c fixed however all the a/c in the world couldn’t help with the horrendous mess those boys left behind! My lord! Maybe all of us should have hosted it outside…
